(1) From my presentation, I am most proud of the fact that I was able to teach others new things about football. To my surprise, I was even able to teach those who know how to play football something new. In my overall project, I'm proud of much I have grown in my experiences as a coach.
(2a) I believe I deserve a P/AP because despite my inability to present a formal presence of research, I was able to present to the class confidently and and show that I did know what I was talking about.
(2b) I believe I deserve at least an AP in my overall senior project because I was able to turn the majority of the assignments on time, and put a lot of work in my independent components.
(3) What really worked for my senior project was that I was able to incorperate both research and experience into my final presentation. I believe that because of my past experiences, I was successful in presenting opinions of both coaches and playerers to find the best answer for my EQ.
(4) At first, I was confident about having to teach a class how to play football because I know how the sport works. However, my fast paced talking proved to be an issue, and I struggled in making time. If I could go back, I would talk slower, and go more into detail about each slide.
(5) Throughout the entire school year, I have been learning more and more new things about coaching. Whether its implamenting various strategies during the games, or using new methods of correction during practices, this year has shown me that I still have much to learn if i want to become a successful coach. Luckily, because of this project, I've gained the want to continue playing and coaching after I graduate. It is because of this project that I've decided to play at Mt. Sac, and continue my experiences at Southlands Christian as an assistant coach. I hope to one day work my way up the levels of coaching, and continue learning new things through my endeavors and experiences.

Blog 22: Mentorship
Literal
Log has been updated.
Interpretive
My time with my Mentor, Coach Orr, has been a great experience and has benefitted my project greatly, to say the very least. Getting the chance to know Coach Orr before asking him to be my mentor helped with the process of meeting with each other much simpler. In addition to that, having had many meetings and multiple opportunities to help coach the Southlands team by his side has made the overall experience benefitial towards answering my EQ.
Applied
The way I came to realizing what my best answer is was quite a humorous process. My mentor and I had constant debates and discussions over "which of the three major football units had the most impact on the outcome of a game." While we both had our preferences and tried to persuade one another which was more relavent, the deciding factor came to which unit, statistically, is responsible for the majority of a team's overall wins in a single season. The answer, which was my preference from the beginning, was the offensive unit.

Blog 21: Exit Interview
(1) What is your essential question, and what are your answers? What is your best answer, and why?
EQ: Which of the 3 major football units has the most impact on the outcome of a game?
Answer 1: The Special Teams unit ha sthe most impact on the outcome of a game because of field placement, and extra points.
Answer 2: The Defensive unit has the most impact on the outcome of a game because of field protection and interceptions.
Answer 3: The Offensive unit has the most impact on the outcome of a game because they score the most field points.
Best Answer: My best answer is Answer 3, the Offensive unit, because the unit is responsible for scoring the majority of the team's points, the harmony of the offense's teamwork, and the inclusion of the team captain, the quarterback.
(2) What process did you take to arrive at this answer?
Throughout my research, I struggled in finding more information on how often games are won through only the efforts of the defense of special teams. Despite finding a few articles, the number of wins by those two units was miniscule compared to the overall wins credited to the offense's impressive scoring statistics.
(3) What problems did you face, and how did you resolve them?
One problem I currently continue to face is the search for my 4th interviewee. While I have had smaller interviews with coaches and my mentor, I haven't been able to schedule an interview with a professional. I plan on overcoming this issue by interviwing a retired UCLA football player soon.
(4) What are the two most significant sources you used to answer your essential question and why?
The two most significant sources I used to answer my essential question would have to be my mentor and my father. My mentor has been helping me with my project since the beginning of the school year. Whenever I had questions, he didn't hesitate to answer. If he didn't know, he would help me find sources online until I had the information I needed. While my mentor taught me how to become a coach, my father taught me how to play the sport at a very young age. It is because of his efforts and his teachings that gave me the amount of experience and background to fully understand how football works. With this knowledge I have acquired in the past 6 years, I'm sure that in time I can teach anyone how to play football, one step at a time.
