Blog 10: EQ
1. I reviewed the rule of three for writing an EQ.
2. a. Does not follow "rule of three" because it doesnt specify what the topic is directly.
b. Does follow "rule of three" by giving a clear foundation of a topic and what type of category it specifically falls under.
c. Does not follow "rule of three" because it doesnt state a specific category for the topic (customer) to examine.
d. Follows "rule of three" by giving a very specific topic and how he/she plans on utilizing it.
3. Which of the 3 major football groups is the most important in terms of winning a league game?

Blog 9: Lesson 1 Reflection
Content:
1. I'm most proud of the content I had during my presentation because it was broad, and I felt I explained it well.
2a. Self-assessment: AE
2b. My powerpoint was neat and included many pictures from both the internet and from personal experiences. Had 5 references (ex. dad, mentor, 3 cited), and they are all credible. I explained things in detail and was within the time frame needed.
3. I liked using a powerpoint that i could refer to. It helped with not forgetting any details in my presentation and the visuals helped me remember even more information.
4. If I could change anything, I would have wanted to include videos on how the 3 major groups in a football team carry out their roles during gameplay.

Blog 8- Research and Working EQ
1. Working EQ: Which of the 3 major football groups is the most important in terms of winning the "big game."
2. Possible answer: All 3 groups are equally important to the team.
3. Most important source: background knowledge on the sport an online articles.
4. My mentor is Richie Orr, an assistant coach on my football team at Southlands. He coaches the team, and teaches me the values of coaching.

Blog 7: Independent Component 1 Approval
1. Im not quite sure what kind of angle I would take on this assignment yet, but if anything, i plan on volunteering for a kids league to coach football. I think this would be a good start in developing my skills as a leader who is both patient and understanding.
2. I can volunteer at the Ontario Pop Warner league. Its close to my house, and i know the league coordinator from when I played 4 years ago.
3. By teaching little kids how to become disciplined players, it will show that I indeed have what it takes to build a strong team of young athletes. It will help me with understanding the differences between coaching hyper kids and disciplined young adults.
4. Hours log is currently the same as last time. I havent scheduled any more appointments with my mentor yet.

Blog 5- Mentorship Reflection
1. I had a variety of choices of who I could choose as a mentor. Since I was already playing for a high school football team, I figured the best and easiest way to find a mentor was by having one I would see everyday, and could meet up with at any time. The most difficult part about this was choosing from the 5 that were available at Southlands. I chose Richie Ore because he was the youngest and least experienced of the 5. I wanted to learn from someone that is also studying the process of becoming a coach.
2. The most important article i have read so far is the first one, titled: "How to Play American Football." Despite having no author, whoever wrote the did a great job of going in depth of how the sport is played. In addition, the article included visuals and instructions to show just how complex the sport can be.

Blog 4: Interview Preparation
1. I plan on interviewing a Pop Warner or minor league coach that isn't my mentor because they tend to be better at teaching the basics to players rather than focus on just winning the season.
2. Some additional questions I should ask:
2. Some additional questions I should ask:
- As a coach, what would you say is the most important advice that you have ever given a player?
- What advice would you give a young person who is interested in playing football, but is not entirely sure?
- In your experience, what made you interested in teaching younger kids than at a high school level?
(Will add more additional questions later on)

Summer Mentorship Component
1. Mentorship Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18LopXpLGuOXQF6M0GyT2bXQbOps284-rxmiR1Mc4fvs/htmlview?usp=drive_web
2. Richie Ore contact info:
Phone: (626)-607-9716
E-mail: ihideintrees@gmail.com
3. Questions?
As his assistant, I asked:
- Will I be doing more field work than office work?
- As a coach, what would you say is the most important group in a football team?
- Would you be willing to me things that don't involve field work, such as playbook creation and pre-season activities?
4. Most important thing gained from this experience?
The most important thing that I gained in this experience was learning that a succesfull football team consists of an overall team effort. There is no "most important group" in a team because each player affects the way the team plays in a differnet way. I think this will be my answer #3 in my presentation, and also my best answer.
5. My senior presentation topic will be General Football information. I wish to teach people what the basics of football are, how the game is played, and how a team can have a successful season. My mentorship inspired me to teach basically everything about football at once because in reality, teaching only a specific part would seem to incomplete and complicated. By teaching every position in a football team, I can give a more broad idea of what football is all about.

2. What questions do you have that haven't been answered about the senior project? This can be about the senior project in general, any components or about a presentation topic you saw or what they said.
From what I've seen, the best presentations were generally the ones that were based on a hobby, not a career choice. The reason for my saying is that the people who did presentations based on their hobbies seemed confident with what they were saying. In other word, they seemed like they knew their information and managed to stay calm, while also making the presentation enjoyable.
4. What topic are you considering doing and why?
I've been going back and forth on what I'm planning on presenting, but it will most likely be Football 101 because i have at least 4 years of experience and i can find multiple mentors and interviewees.
5. What are you doing for your summer mentorship?
Over my four year experience, i have had more than 5 coaches, each with different forms of teaching football. I plan on asking my current coach for mentorship, in hopes that he is willing to teach me during the summer season.
- Does our presentation have to be about something we want to do as a career, or can it be about a hobby too?
- From what i have seen, the presenters only seem to be presenting for a little over an hour. Why are they called 2-hour presentations?
- Can we reserve the classrooms we wish to present n, or are we assigned a classroom?
